About this project
Yes! In 2022, ATO Energysaving returned to wonderful Denmark for a thorough audit, following an initial quick scan carried out in 2019. That preliminary assessment revealed a significant potential for energy savings and, given that Denmark has some of the highest kWh prices in the world, considerable cost reductions as well.
We like to think there is a touch of Viking blood in us , so we felt right at home again doing our heartfelt thing: Get more with less!

The Nordsøen Aquarium operates a semi‑open system.
And, thanks to the species selected in tanks, this make-up water has even been able to be an integrated element of temperature regulation.
Smart approach indeed, but as always, nothing comes without a price.
To keep the water crystal clear, robust filtration remains absolutely essential.
And that, of course, is exactly why we are there.
