About this project
We can say about SEALIFE Brighton that it is highly experienced, shaped by more than 150 years of continuous development and adaptation. Its history includes remarkable chapters, such as operating its own dolphinarium with a volume of 750,000 litres. This long past did influence how the Life Support Systems have evolved over the years, dealing with legacy infrastructure and operational habits.
Start energysaving
SEALIFE Brighton’s audit in 2021 proved to be one of the more challenging assessments in our portfolio, largely because many of the existing filtration strategies did not immediately reveal how they functioned as a coherent system. The facility’s long operational history meant that layers of older and newer approaches were intertwined, and understanding the logic required careful investigation.
The audit made clear that incremental changes in the years, can cause (hidden) inefficiencies. By understanding the full water pathway and each filtration element, we were able to pinpoint opportunities for energy saving, and have more understanding on water quality.
